The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday announced that the online examination for the post of sub-engineer (civil), scheduled for March 9, 2025, has been postponed.

The MEA in their letter to BMC Commissioner has demanded immediate reinstatement of the sub-engineer, highlighting the staff crunch in the civil engineering department.

Faced with vacancies in up to 23% of its sanctioned engineer posts, the BMC claims it has kickstarted the process of recruiting new engineers and promotions will be fast-tracked too.
