MCRD is hosting its 21st annual Boot Camp challenge that allows the public to participate in a three-mile obstacle course that is endured by USMC recruits.

Runners will get a chance to take on the same obstacles Marine Corps recruits are trained on: trenches, log hurdles, tunnel crawls, push-up stations and a six-foot wall.

More than 1200 civilian runners took part in the Boot Camp Challenge held at MCRD on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, in San Diego.

The annual Boot Camp Challenge returns to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot on Saturday, with hundreds participating in the obstacle course that recruits must go through before they become Marines.

The Boot Camp Challenge is this Saturday, September 25, at MCRD. Online registration is closed, but you can sign up on-site Saturday morning.
