Government Starts $80m Solar Plant in Chipata By Christopher Miti Government has commenced the construction of a 100-megawatt solar power plant in Chipata West, as part of its nationwide solar expansion programme. The plant, to be built at a cost of 80 million US dollars, is scheduled for completion within 12 months. Energy Minister MAKOZO CHIKOTE, in a speech delivered on his behalf by Eastern Province Deputy Permanent Secretary LEWIS MWAPE, said the project underscores President HAKAINDE HICHI
